How to Reheat Char Siew and Sio Bak

To ensure you enjoy our meats exactly as intended - juicy inside and crispy outside - please follow the reheating guidelines below specific to your items.

1. Crystal Honey Char Siew & Pork Jowl Cheeky Char Siew

Best reheated using a microwave for moisture retention. If you like your char siew sweeter, you can pour some of the honey sauce over the char siew before reheating.

Method A: Microwave (Recommended)

Preparation: 

  • Fresh: Pop the provided microwaveable tray straight into the microwave.

  • Frozen: Remove from vacuum packaging and place on a microwave-safe plate (no tray provided)

Settings:

  • Power: Low

  • Timing (Room Temp): 1 minute  – 1.5 minute

  • Timing (Chilled): 1.5 minute – 2 minutes

Note: If your item is frozen, please ensure it is fully thawed at room temperature before reheating.

Method B: Oven (Alternative)

Use this method if you do not have a microwave.

  1. Remove the Char Siew from its packaging.

  2. Wrap it completely in aluminum foil to prevent drying out.

  3. Place in the oven at 180°C for 7 – 8 minutes.


2. Golden Crispy Roasted Meat

Best reheated using dry heat (Oven, Air Fryer, or Toaster) to crisp up the skin.

Preparation:

We have pre-wrapped these products in aluminum foil and parchment paper. Both Fresh and Frozen packets can go straight into your appliance without unwrapping.

Temperature Settings

Appliance Temperature
Air Fryer / Toaster 180°C – 200°C
Oven 220°C – 250°C

 Reheating Duration

  • From Room Temperature: 18 - 22 minutes

  • From Chilled: 20 - 25 minutes

Important: For the best crackling, ensure the meat is fully thawed at room temperature before reheating.
